This chassis supports motherboards in the Extended ATX (E-ATX) form factor and 8x 3.5" front load 3.5" drives, providing compatibility with a wide range of workstation-grade components.
The GIGABYTE TRX40 AORUS Xtreme is built around the AMD sTRX4 socket, which is specifically designed for AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3rd generation processors.
The AMD TRX40 chipset supports quad-channel DDR4 memory with speeds up to 4400MHz (O.C.), 4x PCIe 4.0 PCIe x16 slots, (2x PCIe x16 running at x16 and 2x PCIe x16 running at x8), 2x 10GbE RJ45 ports via the integrated Intel X550-AT2 controller, and USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports.
