The R840 supports 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, with up to 28 cores per percessor. The R840 has 48 DDR4 memory slots. The R840 can house a significant number of drives, including up to 26x 2.5'' HDDs and SSDs, and it’s capable of accelerating applications with up to 2 double-width GPUs or up to 2 full-height FPGAs1.
